The Automatic Feeder is a system for automatically changing samples in a FOX200, FOX300 and FOX314. It is a pneumatically actuated microprocessor controlled system which allows placement of up to 21 8" or 12" square 1" thick samples for testing one by one in the FOX instrument. The user places the samples in the Automatic Feeder and goes to the computer to assign each sample its individual ID and thickness option. Two thickness options are available for each sample: the automatic thickness provision can be chosen which closes the plates on the sample and gives the thickness readout, or thickness can be entered for each sample and the plates will close to that thickness. In either case the readout will be accurate to within 001". The results for each sample are automatically stored on the hard disk.

Additional samples can be added during the testing without interruption by placing them in the feeder and entering their Ids on the computer. WinTherm Software is needed to operate the automatic feeder. Batches of rigid and semi-rigid foam samples can be loaded up and tested at one setpoint for comparison, or samples can be tested at up to nine setpoints before being ejected and the next one placed in the test chamber.

The Automatic Sample Feeder is a factory installed option which can be added to existing instruments with minor modifications. The installation is included in the price of the system.

All part and labor required for repair will be provided by LaserComp for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Equipment must be returned to LaserComp.
